The original Space Jam shoes were released in 1996 to coincide with the release of the movie, and they quickly became a must-have for sneaker enthusiasts. Now, over 25 years later, Nike has released an updated version of these classic kicks, and I am here to share my buying guide for anyone looking to add them to their collection.
Design and Style
The first thing that caught my attention about the new Space Jam shoes was the design. They have kept the iconic black and blue colorway from the original shoes, but with some added modern touches. The upper is made of a sleek black patent leather with blue accents on the laces, tongue, and heel tab. The famous Jumpman logo is prominently displayed on the side of the shoe in blue and white.
One thing to note is that these shoes do run slightly smaller than other Nike models, so it’s recommended to go half a size up for a better fit.
